Comprehensive Labour Force Survey 2013

Objective
The survey seeks to collect data on employment, unemployment and other economic characteristics of the population.

Coverage
The survey covers a sample of 33,000 households.

Mode
Respondents can complete the survey online via the Internet. Alternatively, you can provide the information through a phone interview or a face-to-face interview.

23 May 2013 to 31 July 2013




Labour Force Survey

Objective
The survey seeks to collect data on employment, unemployment and other economic characteristics of the population.

The survey covers a sample of 10,200 households every month.

Mode
Respondents can complete the survey on-line via the internet. The survey is also conducted using telephone or face-to-face interviews.

Labour Market Survey, January – March 2013

Objective
The survey seeks to gather manpower-related information on job vacancy, labour turnover, redundancy, etc. These statistics assist the government in shaping manpower policies and programmes, and help employers, workers and job seekers make informed decisions on career and human resource matters, thus supporting a well-functioning and responsive labour market.

Supplementary section is included to obtain information on the availability of retrenchment benefits.

Coverage
The survey covers about 14,500 private sector establishments with at least 25 employees and the public sector.

Mode
The survey is conducted using mail questionnaires with clarifications made over the phone. Respondents can complete the survey online via the Internet. Alternatively, respondents can return the questionnaires through post, email or fax.

Employer Supported Training

Objective
The Ministry of Manpower’s Research and Statistics Department is conducting the Employer Supported Training, 2012 to obtain information on incidence of training, training practices and training outcomes of private sector establishments and public organisations. The survey findings will assist the government in the review and formulation of training policies and assistance programmes.

Coverage
The survey covers about 4,000 private sector establishments with at least 25 employees and the public sector.

Mode
The survey is conducted using mail questionnaires with clarifications made over the phone. Respondents can complete the survey online via the Internet. Alternatively, respondents can return the questionnaires through post, email or fax.
