MOM AWARDS CEREMONY 2016

On 21 March 2016, MOM staff were honoured at the MOM Awards 2016 held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel. The annual event saw OSHD officers receiving accolades for their exemplary and outstanding contributions to OSHD and the Ministry in 2015. The recipients and awards included the:

Minister for Manpower Award

Keeping our workers safe has always been one of our top priorities. The WSH (Design for Safety) (DfS) Regulations were mandated to improve WSH performance in the construction industry by encouraging greater industry ownership amongst Developers and Designers to manage WSH risks at the design and planning phase of the project.

Given the impact DfS will have across the entire value chain of the construction industry, the Design for Safety Taskforce, which was co-chairedby MOM and BCA, conducted extensive focus group discussions, industry consultations and public feedback to ensure that the WSH (DfS) Regulations are effective and relevant.

SCIC APPRECIATION AWARD

Ms Jaime Lim, Senior Assistant Director (MHI), was presented the SCIC Appreciation Award during the SCIC Annual Dinner 2016. The Award was in recognition of her support and contributions to the Singapore Chemical Industry Council and the chemical industry.
