Is the machine noise level required to be indicated on the machine?

The manufacturer or supplier of noisy machinery or equipment for use in any workplace is required to:

  • Provide information concerning the sound level generated by the machine or equipment to the occupier of the workplace. 
  • Provide a sign or label on the machinery or equipment on the need to wear hearing protectors.
