What are some examples of noisy tools or processes?

A non-exhaustive list of common noisy tools and processes are listed in the table below. As part of your risk assessment, it is important to conduct noise monitoring at your workplace at least once to determine the noise level of your work processes. The monitoring results will help to inform you if noise control measures need to be implemented or if you need to send your employees for medical monitoring for noise.
