The self-assessment checklist indicates that I am not likely to be a platform operator. Do I need to make CPF contributions and obtain work injury compensation insurance for my workers?

Please note that the checklist is meant to be a self-help resource. It does not constitute legal advice and is not definitive in determining whether you are a platform operator or not, because it depends on the specific circumstances of your company. Even if the checklist indicates that you are likely not to be a platform operator, you should still refer to the Platform Workers Act 2024 and seek legal advice on whether you are a platform operator if you are unsure.

You would also need to determine if your worker is an employee or platform worker. If so, you must provide CPF contributions, and obtain the necessary work injury compensation insurance and, for employees, comply with the relevant Employment Act requirements. However, if you are neither a platform operator nor an employer to the worker, you do not need to do so.
