When do we need to decide that we’ll be taking shared parental leave?
If you’re a husband and wife planning on taking shared parental leave, you can indicate your decision either:
- At any point during the pregnancy, once you know your child’s estimated delivery date.
- Anytime within 12 months of the child’s birth, as long as there’s still sufficient time to take leave before your child turns 1.
