How can I extend my pass holder’s stay in Singapore?

If you meet any of the reasons in the table below, you can request to extend your pass holder's stay in Singapore.

However, you must submit the request 7 to 14 days before their current pass, Special Pass, or Short-Term Visit Pass (STVP) expires. Otherwise, late requests may incur overstaying fines, while early requests will be rejected.

If the pass is expiring on 17 February, you need to submit your request from 4 to 10 February.

  • Pass holder is waiting for a new passport or travel documents.
  • Pass holder’s flight had been rescheduled or cancelled by the airline.
  • Pass holder is medically unfit to travel.
  • Pass holder has outstanding employment-related issues such as, waiting for the last salary payment.
  • Malaysian worker’s Work Permit (WP) has expired and unable to get Special Pass issued in WP Online.
Get the pass issued or renewed
  • Pass holder is waiting for a new passport or medical results.
  • Work Permit (WP) holder is waiting to attend their Settling-in Programme (SIP) or Onboard programme at Onboard centre.
  • Pass holder’s Special Pass cannot be issued using WP Online and an error message was shown.
  • Employment Pass, EntrePass, S Pass, Dependant’s Pass or Long-Term Visit Pass holder is waiting for their renewal application outcome and the current pass expires in 2 weeks.
  • Employment Pass holder has applied for an Overseas Networks & Expertise Pass under the same employer but is still waiting for an outcome, and the current pass expires in 2 weeks.

You will receive the outcome within 7 days.
