Why does WP Online show that i have less locals than the number of employees i have contributed CPF to for the past 3 months?
Here are the possible reasons:
- Your company has local employees who are receiving CPF contributions from 3 or more companies. Such local employees are not counted towards the local workforce. You can check with your local employees to find out who is receiving such multiple CPF contributions. MOM does not have the information.
- You have late or backdated CPF contributions for your local employees. Such contributions may not be counted when computing the foreign worker quota, even if you pay off the arrears, late interests or fines due.
- Your company has local employees with CPF contributions in multiple CPF accounts under your company (e.g. PTE-01, PTE-02 etc). For computing of local workforce and foreign worker quota, MOM will only count the same local employee once.
- Your CPF contributions were not in time for the foreign worker quota update that takes place every Saturday. Please check your local workforce count and foreign worker quota again on the next working day (i.e. Monday) after the following Saturday.
- You have local employees earning below $1,600 per month. A local employee earning below $800 per month is not counted in your company's local workforce. A local employee earning at least $800 to below $1,600 per month is counted as 0.5 local employee.
- Errors in CPF Submission: Any error in your CPF submission (e.g. wrongly declared your local employees’ salaries or the CPF contribution month) may affect your local workforce count and foreign worker quota calculation.
