My company is employing an existing non-Malaysian Work Permit holder from another company. However, the in-principle approval (IPA) indicates that he needs to attend the Settling-in Programme (SIP). Can my worker be exempted from SIP?
Typically, existing non-Malaysian Work Permit holders transferring from one employer to another do not need to attend the
Settling-in Programme (SIP).
However, it is possible that your worker has missed the SIP during their previous employment and will need to attend one at Migrant Workers’ Centre (MWC) Recreation Club @ Soon Lee.
