You can apply for a Work Permit for an existing Malaysian Work Permit holder by following the general Work Permit application steps.
Before you apply for the Work Permit, you must:
- Ensure the worker communicates their intention to stop working for their current employer beforehand. Otherwise, they may face issues trying to get the employer to cancel their Work Permit.
- Get agreement from the worker to join your company.
Once the Work Permit application is approved, you can get the new Work Permit issued after the worker’s existing Work Permit has been cancelled by their current employer, or when it has expired.
