Documents required for Training Work Permit
You need to submit documents such as an employer's letter along with the Training Work Permit application.
Documents for foreign students
You will need to submit these documents for a Training Work Permit application:
- A copy of the trainee's passport
- A copy of their student pass
- A letter from the local employer stating:
- Training purpose and duration.
- Detailed training plan stating:
- Department
- Period of attachment
- Student’s duties during the attachment
- That the company will be responsible for the trainee's repatriation in the event that the trainee fails to obtain their student pass after training
- A letter from the school stating:
- Field of study
- Course duration
- Course registration date and expected graduation date
- That training is part of the course requirement
- Required training period.
Documents for trainees employed by a foreign company
You need to submit these documents when applying for a Training Work Permit:
- A copy of the trainee's passport
- A letter from the local employer stating
- Relationship between the local and overseas company (e.g. subsidiary, associate, joint venture, customer, sub-contractor)
- Training purpose and duration
- Detailed training plan stating:
- Department
- Period of attachment
- Trainee’s duties during the attachment
- That the company will be responsible for sending the trainee back to their home country/region once the training is over
- Documents to show the relationship between the local and overseas company (e.g. annual reports, tax invoices, contracts)
- Employment contract of the trainee working for the overseas company
