Cluster operations on Jurong Island
MOM will be conducting workplace inspections on construction worksites and selected petrochemical plants on Jurong Island
Operation Period: 16 November 2009 to 14 December 2009
For the upcoming COPS in November/December 2009, MOM will be conducting workplace inspections on construction worksites and selected petrochemical plants, particularly those that are undergoing expansion of existing facilities, within Jurong Island.
The focus of the workplace inspections will be on the following work activities and hazards:
- Work at heights
- Work within confined spaces
- Safe use of equipment, such as cranes and mobile elevated work platforms (i.e. scissors lifts and cherry pickers)
- Means of access and egress
