Overall WSH Performance improved in 2010
Construction sector still a cause for concern, accounting for more than half of all workplace fatalities
The Workplace Safety and Health Council, in collaboration with the Ministry of Manpower, has unveiled Singapore's WSH performance in 2010 and its key areas of concern today. The WSH Statistics Report 2010 showed a decline in overall injuries across the board. The fatality rate fell to an all-time low of 2.2. Workplaces were also more productive as the number of mandays lost due to work incidents fell by 20% from 2009 to 2010. Find out more by reading the media release.
