To ask the Minister for Manpower (a) whether the semi-permanent Quick Build Dormitories located at 5A, 7A, and 11A Choa Chu Kang Grove will be demolished, considering that these single-storey dormitories were constructed to combat the transmission of COVID-19 virus among migrant workers during the peak of the pandemic; and (b) if so, when.

Answer:

1. The three Quick Build Dormitories along Choa Chu Kang Grove are due to be demolished when their leases expire in 2025. However, if the demand for migrant workers remains high and there is a shortage of dormitory beds in 2025, a temporary extension of their leases may be considered.
