To ask the Minister for Manpower for each of the last five years (a) how many cases under the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) have taken more than a year to process; and (b) what percentage of all WICA cases do they represent.
Answer:
1. 96.3% of claims made under the Work Injury Compensation Act (WICA) from 2020 to 2024 were resolved within one year after the claims were filed. The remaining 3.7% took one year or more due to extended time taken for medical treatment or processing of complex cases. The breakdown is provided in Table 1 below.
