Launch of Comprehensive Labour Force & Household Survey 2025

The Manpower Research and Statistics Department of the Ministry of Manpower (MOM), in collaboration with the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS) under the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), will conduct the Comprehensive Labour Force & Household Survey (CLFHS) from 3 March to 31 July 2025. To synthesise efforts, this national survey combines questions from both the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey and General Household Survey.

About the Survey

2. The CLFHS is intended to collect key information on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the population. Information such as education, employment details, language literacy, and transport to school/work will be collected. Results of the survey will help in shaping and reviewing policies, as well as the planning of programmes and services for the community.

Participation from Households

3. Selected households, which have been randomly chosen to be representative of the Singapore population, will receive a notification letter from MOM by post. We strongly encourage all selected households to complete the survey online via the link provided in the letter. Survey participants will be asked to provide their contact information to facilitate the verification of their responses where necessary.

4. Households that are unable to participate online can opt for a telephone interview by calling MOM at 6320 7777 from Monday to Sunday (except Public Holidays) between 8.30am and 9.30pm, or e-mail mom_rsd_lfs@mom.gov.sg to make an appointment.

5. The cooperation of households in submitting their completed survey returns is crucial to the successful conduct of the CLFHS. MOM and DOS look forward to the participation of all selected households.

Safeguarding of Data Assured

6. The CLFHS is conducted under the Statistics Act 1973. Participation is compulsory. We assure respondents that all information provided will be safeguarded in accordance with the Statistics Act.
