Income data on MOM website
 - The Straits Times, 17 August 2013

  1. Mr Tan Boon Khai (“Bringing back data on income levels”, 14 Aug) requested for data of active Central Provident Fund members by income brackets to be reinserted into the Yearbook of Statistics as a means to track how Singaporean incomes have changed over time.
  2. To analyse local income trends, Mr Tan can refer to MOM’s annual report on the Labour Force in Singapore on the MOM website (www.mom.gov.sg). The report contains detailed information on income in Singapore, including employed residents in various income brackets as well as a further breakdown into full-timers and part-timers.
  3. If Mr Tan has any other queries on the statistics, he can write to us at mom_rsd@mom.gov.sg.

Bring back data on income levels
- The Straits Times, 14 August 2013

The recently released 2013 Yearbook Of Statistics no longer provides a table on active Central Provident Fund members by wage level.

This table had been published for as long as I can remember, and was a fabulous source of information for anyone wishing to track how various categories of Singaporean incomes have changed over time.

Citizens have a right to know how the various income groups in their society are faring. I hope this data can be brought back.
