What is the Cultural Orientation Programme (COP)
The COP is launched as a pilot and is an online learning experience for S Pass holders to:
- Familiarise themselves with Singapore’s culture and workplace norms
- Encourage positive interactions with locals
The COP is not only for new S Pass holders. Existing S Pass holders may also attend the COP.
S Pass holders are encouraged to complete the COP before they start work. The programme covers the following topics:
- Expectations, rights and responsibilities on living and working in Singapore
- How to create positive interactions with colleagues and the community
- Appreciating and understanding Singapore’s culture
- Resources available to learn and find out more after completing the online programme
After the pilot ends in 2025, MOM will consider including the COP as part of the S Pass application process.
