Note:
- If you apply after the expiry date, you will have to pay a late renewal fee of $100. You must also stop all EA activities until your licence has been renewed.
- You must submit your renewal application within 1 month after your licence expires. After that, you will need to apply for a new licence and must stop all EA activities until the new licence is granted.
- If you do not submit your application at least 3 months before your licence expiry date, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to complete the renewal process before your licence expires.

- Buy or extend the security bond.
- Get the licence issued.
Submit the renewal licence application
Processing time: 7 working days for most cases
To submit your renewal application:
- Log in to GoBusiness Licensing to apply.
- Pay the $400 application fee online.
- When you get an IPA notification by email or SMS, log in to GoBusiness Licensing to download the IPA document.
The IPA is valid for 3 weeks. Once it lapses, you must make a new application.
As soon as you receive the IPA, you should proceed to buy or extend your security bond (in the form of a banker’s guarantee). Your FI may take 3 weeks to process the banker's guarantee.

Buy or extend the security bond
When: Upon receiving in-principle approval
Upon initial approval, you will need to extend your existing security bond (in the form of a banker’s guarantee) or get a new one. If you get a new security bond, you also need to submit a new Security Bond Form.
To buy or extend the security bond:

- Please use the forms provided. Any other format of the BG will be rejected.
- The start date of the Banker’s Guarantee should be your current EA licence expiry date.
- Bring the forms to a bank to prepare the documents.
- Post the required forms and other supporting documents to:

If successful, you will receive a notification from GoBusiness Licensing stating that your application is approved, pending payment for issuing the licence.
Note: The security bond must be valid for 6 months after the expiry date of the licence.

To get the licence issued:
- Log in to GoBusiness Licensing.
- Pay the $100 issuance fee online.
- You can download and print your e-licence from when your new validity period starts.

Submit the renewal application
Processing time: 7 working days for most cases.
To submit your licence renewal application:
- Log in to GoBusiness Singapore to apply.
- Pay the $400 application fee online.
The application fee is not refundable. Do use the
EA self-assessment tool to check your eligibility before you submit your application.
Apply for your eGuarantee
Processing time: Up to 3 weeks (subject to FI's processing time)
You may proceed to apply for your eGuarantee once you receive your IPA.
To apply or extend the eGuarantee:
- Receive an email notification containing the IPA.
- Select your preferred eGuarantee provider. The list of participating FIs is available at eGuarantee@Gov.
- Apply for the required security bond in the form of an eGuarantee through your preferred FI.
- Look out for the email notification, which will be sent once Ministry of Manpower (MOM) received the eGuarantee from your FI.
Your FI may take up to 3 weeks to process the request and IPA is valid for 4 weeks. You should ensure sufficient time for the FI to submit the eGuarantee to MOM. Once it lapses, you must make a new application.
Undertake the conditions for an EA licence
Processing time: Up to 1 day
You may proceed to complete the undertaking and issue your EA licence once you receive the email notification from MOM to do so. You must do this within 2 months of IPA issuance.
To undertake the condition:
- Log in to GoBusiness Singapore
- Retrieve and select the correct active eGuarantee Information for the EA licence application.
- Read through the security bond form terms and conditions.
- Read through the EA Licence Conditions and complete the declarations.
- Look out for the email on the payment notice for the issuance of your EA licence, which will be sent within a day after you complete the undertaking.
Make payment for the issuance of your EA licence
Processing time: Up to 1 day
You may proceed to make payment for issuance of your EA licence once you receive the email notification from MOM to do so. You must also do this within 2 months of IPA issuance.
To make payment and issue your EA licence:
- Log in to GoBusiness Singapore, upon receipt of an email notification.
- Pay the $100 issuance fee online.
- Receive a digital copy of the licence via email. You can also download a copy of the e-Licence at GoBusiness Singapore.
You can continue operating your employment agency only after the renewal licence is issued.
- You must complete the issuance of your EA licence within 2 months of the IPA issuance. Once it lapses, you must make a new application. The application fee paid when you submitted your licence application is not refundable.
- You must submit a request to reinstate your inactive Employment Pass eService and Work Permit Online account after the licence has been renewed or the new licence is granted.
