Platform work associations in Singapore will be regulated in accordance to the Platform Workers Act 2024 and other related legislation.
With the Platform Workers Act 2024, platform work associations that represent platform workers can better negotiate with platform operators on work-related issues that platform workers are concerned about.
The Registry of Platform Work Associations ensures the administration of platform work associations in Singapore through the Platform Workers Act 2024 and other related legislation.
A platform work association is any association of platform workers or platform operators whose main aim is to regulate relations between platform operators and platform workers for any or all of the following purposes:
- To promote good industrial relations between platform workers and platform operators
- To improve the working conditions of platform workers or enhance their economic and social status
- To achieve the raising of productivity for the benefit of platform workers, platform operators and the economy of Singapore

Platform Workers Act 2024 and Regulations
The Platform Workers Act and its Subsidiary Legislation regulate the activities of platform work associations, including the proper management of the affairs of platform work associations, safe custody of funds and the free election of officers of platform work associations.
